Meet the Applicants
Cari Kehr - Growing up in Belmont Shore, Cari returned to her childhood home a few years ago and was eager to be involved in her community. She works as a senior contract administrator in business management and as a first year member, Cari has bravely served us well as FoBS’ 2024 treasurer.
Keith Mason - He has lived in Belmont Shore since 2008. Last year was his first on the FoBS board. Keith hopes to facilitate better engagement by the 3rd District residents on issues important to our community and serves as our link to Kristina Duggan’s office.
Kathie Muehlebach - Kathie is a third generation Long Beach resident and has lived off and on in Belmont Shore since 1994. She has worked in the nonprofit space since 2007 and is currently the Systemwide Compliance Manager for the California State University Office of the Chancellor. Kathie loves her community and her favorite local activity is summer concerts in the park.
Jim Ostach - Retired captain of the US Navy, and 30 year resident of the shore, Jim is applying for his second term on the FoBS board. He is a passionate community activist and devoted FoBS board member.
Steve Donovan - Living in Belmont Shore since 1998 and raising his three teenage children with wife Lexy, Steve works in telecom network instrumentation sales and has served as FoBS’ IT guru the last 4 years. This would be his third term on the FoBS board.

Saturday morning Tour the Shore weekly walking tours meet in front of Chapter II Coffee at 7:30 AM:
Saturday, October 19 - Tour the Peninsula
Saturday, October 26 - Recreational walk through the neighborhood ending at Galata Turkish Ice Cream
Sunday, October 20 - Long Beach Walking Club touring Belmont Shore, starting at 2nd and Santa Ana, 10 AM. Women walkers only.
Sunday, October 20 - Blessing of the Animals at Granada Beach, 2:30 PM.
Wednesday, October 23 - Tip-a-Cop donations collected at Legends, Rance's Chicago Pizza, Open Sesame, and George's Greek Cafe, 5-9PM. Donations go to Special Olympics of Southern California.
Saturday, October 26 - Second Street Sidewalk Chalk Art Contest, 9 AM to 4 PM
Sunday, October 27 - Haute Dog Howl’oween Parade, 4320 Olympic Plaza, 2:30-3:30 PM
Thursday, October 31 - Trick or Treat on Second Street, 4-6 PM. Don’t miss the Photo Booth in front of Chase Bank!
Tuesday, November 5th - Federal, state, and local election day; very important that we exercise our right to vote!
Thursday, December 5th - Save The Date! FoBS Mix and Mingle
Saturday, December 7th - Belmont Shore Christmas Parade, 6 PM
