The Belmont Shore Parking and Business Improvement Area Advisory Commission meets the third Thursday of each month at 8am at Bay Shore Library.

The Commission recommends to the Mayor and City Council solutions to parking problems in Belmont Shore and the best utilization of funds obtained from the parking meters in Belmont Shore. Number of Members: 7 Term: 2 years (4 term max)

Colorado Lagoon Monthly Habitat Restoration

Hosted by the Friends of Colorado Lagoon: Help us continue the restoration, maintenance and re-vegetation of the Colorado Lagoon while learning about local coastal ecology. Each event is led by FOCL naturalists and all necessary tools are provided. Closed-toe shoes are required for restoration events. 

Monthly habitat restoration opportunities are available every 2nd Saturday from 10am-12pm and every 4th Monday from 3pm-5pm at 5119 E Colorado St, Long Beach

Join together across racial differences once again for an intergenerational night of community, art, and stories about the state of our city and how working people are creating a Long Beach for all.

Free food, childwatch, bike valet, and interpretation in Spanish, Khmer, and ASL will be provided. Long Beach Transit to the Downtown Long Beach transit gallery is encouraged. Free parking will be provided at the civic center parking structure (332 West Broadway).
