Don't miss our horse-drawn wagon at the annual Belmont Shore Christmas parade!

The Belmont Shore Christmas Parade will march down East 2nd Street to the beat of over a dozen local marching bands. Featuring over 100 entries, including floats designed by Long Beach businesses and associations, marching bands, and local personalities and dignitaries. And of course, no Christmas Parade would be complete without an appearance by good ole’ St. Nick! The parade route is along East 2nd Street and begins heading east from Livingston Avenue to Bayshore Avenue. Entries return to Livingston Avenue heading west along the north side of East Second Street.

    LOGISTICS:Tours departs from Dock 2 (adjacent to the Aquarium of the Pacific) at 6:00 PM, so plan on arriving no later than 5:45 PM. Children are welcome to accompany their parents on the tour. Parking is validated for up to 3 hours for guests parking in the Aquarium parking structure. The Port's vessel is compliant with the Americans with Disabilities Act to accommodate all residents. Beverages and light appetizers are provided on-board.  Guests are encouraged to wear comfortable shoes and bring a light jacket.

    Free Document Shredding Event

    Long Beach residents are invited to participate in a FREE document shredding event on Saturday, September 8th from 9AM - 11AM at the Veterans Memorial Stadium, located at 5000 East Lew Davis Street. A mobile shredding truck will provide residents with the opportunity to securely dispose of confidential documents, white or colored paper, manila file folders, and envelopes.  There is a limit of three boxes per car.  For more information, including event flyer, please visit www.longbeach.gov/lbrecycles.     Join us for the Ranchos Walk and experience the cities of Long Beach and Signal Hill in a whole new way! Take a walk through history and follow a crest trail that links Rancho Los  Alamitos and Rancho Los Cerritos. The 9.4-mile scenic walk connects the CSULB campus, Reservoir Hill, Hilltop Park in Signal Hill, Longview Point at Willow Springs Park and Rancho Los Cerritos. There are also 6 mile and 3.5 mile options available. Shuttle services will be provided along the route.
